Tape London

Tape London Club Description

Tape London Club, opened in Hanover Square on the former Jalouse Club, is the new addition to London’s nightlife scene. The venue is more than a nightclub. It has a recording studio, members lounge and a restaurant. The new venue will become the “home” of London’s music industry. Tape London presents an unique, fresh and exciting new concept, never seen in the Capital before. It offers the most exclusive elegant party experience. Tape London attracts an elite crowd thanks to the best sets of internationally renowned DJ’s. The creators describe Tape London Club as ‘a central hub of creativity and celebration’.

Tape London was inspired and designed by Grammy award winning Dallas Austin, who put his energies into several projects (Abbey Road, Tile Yard and AIR Studios) and produced seminal records for Madonna, Michael Jackson, Duran Duran, Rihanna and Gwen Stefani.
Being inside Tape London interior resemble to be inside a music instrument. Walking inside the venue is like “walking into the brass mouth of a trombone”. Also, Tape London walls present gilded copper effect covering. In addition, a big chandelier hangs over the stairwell, resembling the horn of a gramophone player. As you enter Tape London Club you won`t to miss the pendant lighting laid out in a grid pattern. On the right end of the entry there is the stunning neon-lit bar. The 250-capacity nightclub also has a fully sized stage for live acts. The room splits between two levels. The higher level is for VIP tables. There is also the DJ booth and industrial raised podiums where go-go dancers pull shapes. Also a sound system from D&B Technik hotwires the room.
Great addition of Tape Club is Little Tape. This is a 150 capacity private members‘ club with a recording studio complete with a restaurant and late night licensed bar. In Little Tape there are musical instruments available to play including a Baby Grand piano and guitars. Priceless musical memorabilia like Kurt Cobain’s jacket, a hand-written poem from Elvis Presley and one of Chuck Berry’s guitars are the best part of this collection.
Many celebrities have been at Tape London including Paloma Faith and Cara Santana.
